    two months left!

Still jammin' Snoopdogg. Yeah, I know...I can't help myself though...really doe. For some reason I'm just not ready to let rap go. I like what Chris Rock says. "I love gangsta rap, I just can't defend it." How true. The oldschool stuff is the best...and sometimes at night when my wife is having a hard time getting to sleep...I beatbox for her...mostly some RunDMC, or IceCube...every once in a while I'll throw in some Tooshort. I beatbox the best, there's no doubt. And she always falls asleep bobbing her head to my dope fiend beats.

Wow! Its been nearly a month since I've written anything in here. Not a lot has been happening, really. I've officially got 7 weeks 4 days of school left, then I'm off for two months. These kids are driving me crazy though! I swear. I'm burning out. For one thing, I've had to hand out more discipline in the last two weeks than I've handed out all year...and its all for not doing homework. Its not like my lessons are boring; I put a lot of work into them. These kids are just straight up lazy. They'll just have to learn the hard way.

The other day, I made some plans for Kelley and I during my time off. We're going back to Southeast Asia. On June 22 we arrive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We'll spend about 5 nights there. I'm still not sure of all the things we're going to do. It'll come together though. From KL, I think we're going to take a jungle train north along the eastern coast of malaysia. This train route was built by the British during their occupation (or so I've read), and is still being used today. It is supposed to go through some of the largest, undisturbed rain forest left in the world. The train will drop us off in Hat Yai, where we'll have to take a short bus trip to one of the best places in the world...Phuket, Thailand. This will be my 3rd trip there, and we'll be staying for 6-7 days. I'm not 100% sure yet. You can't beat the beaches of Thailand. So from there we'll probably fly up to Bangkok for about 3 nights (which is plenty of time to be in that city. I love it, but damn...one night in Bangkok makes your whole world crumble, or so the song goes, and we're there for 3). We take off from Bangkok and fly direct to Seoul, South Korea, where we'll spend one day before flying back to Los Angeles...home.

I'm stoked to get the opportunity to hang out in Korea again. It will have been two years since the last time I've been there.

So, my mom has recently started a photography class, and she asked me if I would pose for her so she could take some pictures of me with her new camera. Out of all the pictures she took that day, this one turned out the best. I love you Mom. Good luck with your class.

  • Tuesday morning. I'm sick of laying around in bed. I've got to make something happen today. I think I'll hurry up and go to the gym, then swing through Subway for lunch (they've got a great deal going on right now). Oh, and then I've got to get back to that sports shop in Riverside I rented that Babolat tennis racquet from. I've got a little bad news. ...not about the tennis racquet; I returned it with no problems. As I returned it, though, I happened to rent a racquetball racquet in its place. I play racquetball a couple of times a week with some friends/colleagues. Well, it was Saturday, I had our court reserved, and I went ot the gym where we play thinking I was going to be the master of the court with this great new racquet, right? Very nice, very expensive...its gotta be better than my $20 one. Well, it wasn't. And I kept on getting pissed off because the racquet seriouslly sucked, and I kept on loosing freakin' points...to a guy that gets on my nerves. So...I bashed the damn thing on the wall, and it basically exploded. Carbon fiber racquets aren't all they're cracked up to be (literally).

"...that's nothing...you can barely even notice."

So now here is the dilemma. The frame is cracked, there's no doubt about it. In two places actually. The person who runs the rental desk at the store knows absolutely nothing about tennis/racquetball. Completely numb to it. There is a part of me that wants to attempt to sneak the racquet back in, even though I'm pretty certain I should have to pay $110.00 to replace it...that is...if it is found that it must be replaced by their "experts." And she is no expert, in fact, I bet with a little slight of hand diversion , she'd never even notice. I know I could get away with it. There's even a part of me that invites the challenge. But then there's this little thing that keeps on telling me, "Look, dumbass! You broke it, freakin' pay for it! Man up!

"They said it would make me the best!"

There you go. My moral and ethical dilemma. I know I'll end up paying for it. I can't let something like that lay on my conscience. That's what dirtbags do. Shit damn! This sucks!

First things first...what kind of looser only has one person subscribe to his blog? no messages, no nothing. I would like to at least thank my civilized neanderthal homeslice Zach! Ever since I was a little kid, you've always been there for me.

     this is Zach Evans.

Where are the rest of you?

    ok, back to the babble.

...back in hell. Things seem to be just as I left them. That's good. As you might have guessed, I'm writing this from my classroom even though I still have another week off. I'm our school's AVID coordinator (look it up) and I've got to get some data collected and entered so our school can be re-certified for next year. So I'm sitting in my room, waiting on the phone to ring so I can get the information I've requested. I hate depending on others.

Its a glorious Friday (mid-day). The sun is out. Clear blue skies. Its only around 65*F out. A little cold for me. I'd love to be at the tennis court right now, practicing my serve. I've been looking for a new tennis racquet lately, and the one you see below is the one I'm going to get. ...talk about a smokin' racquet. This Babolat is about as good as it gets. One of my good friends uses this particular racquet and swears its the best one he's ever come across. You might have heard of him...Andy Roddick.

I use a Wilson Hammer Series now. It was a beginner model, and it served it's purpose. I got a feel for the game, learned the basics and practiced the fundamentals...now its time to step it up a little bit. I went to one of the sports stores in Riverside the other day and was actually able to rent the one you see above...for only $4.00U.S./two days. Isn't that a great idea to let people rent equipment? The only problem is...now I don't want to give it back. The guy at the counter said if I ended up keeping the racquet, they would charge my credit card something like $110.00 to cover the cost (he didn't make it out to be that big of a deal). Well, the racquet sells new for $180-$190 plus the heafty California state tax. Add on another 25 to get some good string, and it would end up costing my well over 200. The one I rented is in pretty  good shape, but something tells me to go ahead and buy a new one. The wife would kick my butt though, because I always spend money spontaneously on things. This week its a tennis racquet. Next week it will be a big screen tv. Last week, I actually went to the Harley Davidson shop and was seriouslly considering buying a DynaGlyde Low Rider.

$21,000 and you could have this!

I'm so stupid. I think I'll just steal a new racquet off the shelf after I return the one I rented. I guarantee those fools couldn't catch me. I've been running at the gym lately. I'll wear a fake mustache, too.

     the perfect disguise!

All this babble, and the damn phone still hasn't rung! What the hell's going on! Did I mention I hate depending on people. Screw this. I'm outta here...gotta get me that racquet.
